fast weight loss
I hear a LOT of people say they can't do things...Can't get themselves to exercise, can't stop eating sugar or bread or soda, can't get up early... can't lose weight. That's the biggest one.Of course, this isn't the "truth," we usually just confuse the outcome we want with the action we think we need to take... we want a different outcome to happen this time and think we simply need to will ourselves to take a different action to get there. We try, we fail and then we beat ourselves up for having "no will power."Ever been there? Like a million times? Yeah, me too.Why does this happen?I can give you some of the answers I've found, because I wanted the power to change any habit I had, I've researched this topic quite a bit. And though I haven't found a simple answer, the process of actually changing is less complex than you might have thought, and it has little to do with "will power."The First StepOkay, so the first step you have to take is to stop talking negatively to yourself. AT ALL.It doesn't mean you can't notice that you are doing things you want to change, but you have to stop telling yourself that you are bad for doing them. Bad is a judgement, something your brain is listening to- and frankly, your brain can't handle it.
By criticizing yourself, you are creating a huge amount of negative momentum, you are causing yourself WAY more pain than the cookies ever will, because you are essentially programming your brain to continue down a negative spiral filled with shame that keeps feeding off itself and keeps setting you up to do more of what you don't want to do (what we affectionately call a habit.)So, you ate some cookies (or whatever). Here's the antidote... are you ready? It sounds WAY TOO SIMPLE, I know. You need to stop the momentum you've got going and start it going in the other direction. How hard this will be for you, is based on how long you've been going down this path and how hard you (or others) have been in doling out criticism.I had a personal habit of starting projects and not finishing them, others were more critical of this habit than I was, but I decided I wanted to change it for myself and it took about 6 months of positively reinforcing myself to change it. I hadn't figured out some of these keys yet, so I think it could have been faster but it was a lifelong habit as well.(warning... there may be an affirmation coming up soon...stick with me.... it will be ok)So, how did I change this habit... here's the steps:1. I picked to start project I know I could finish (that's the result I wanted to change)2. I praised myself about it EXCESSIVELY when I finished it3. I wrote it down on a list each day and checked it off (don't skip this!)4. I used my mantra "Whatever I start, I finish, because I am a finisher"Yes, its a bit of mental gymnastics... but your brain, apparently, loves to do gymnastics! Yay!So give it something good to do, and the smaller you start, the easier it will be. Once you have a victory, it will continue to get easier.
So, how does this relate to tea, you're wondering... and how do I use it with Newport Skinny Tea?Newport Skinny Tea is another tool that can help you break negative eating and exercise patterns, its not a miracle tea! Its a tea that helps you achieve your goals and your dream health & body, you can use it to break bad habits with the same steps outlined above.Set up the same kind of desired results for yourself, "I drink my tea when I get hungry." Then drink it, praise yourself, write it down and say some kind of positive, praising manta "Whenever I have cravings, I drink tea, because I'm a tea drinker."This mind exercise, though simple, is powerful. You can create powerful habits each day that literally change the course of your life. I hope you find this as useful as I did, I know that you can live the life you dream of, I want that for you and I will give you everything I have to help you! More to come....PS: There are more complicated life patterns that take more advanced skills to change, we'll be going over some of these and this simple method won't work on physical addictions or psychological illnesses because they contain a physiological component that needs professional help, which is well worth your investment, please know you are worth it! These tips cannot substitute for professional help.
Are you ready to shine?
All the lists of cleansing foods or detox tips I can write won't help if you don't believe you can actually change something about yourself through your efforts of following them. In fact, no teatox or detox or diet program can do much unless you actually believe that you can transform something about yourself by following it.
The startling truth is you CAN transform yourself, even beyond what you probably believe is possible now. Through cleaning up your thoughts and habits you can shift your physical being and your mental state into the highest possible version of yourself, probably with much less effort than you're currently making.
Seriously, you can see plenty of evidence just on Instagram of people who have willed themselves into becoming their "better" version of themselves through belief, diet and exercise. So whatever that BEST version is of you, you're going to have to figure that out first in order to ever feel like you accomplished getting there and to make the journey worth it.
In the beginning of this cleanse series, I have offered some easy steps to start to feel better right away, because often feeling better leads to wanting to feel even better, and makes it easier to think better feeling thoughts and make better feeling choices. There is no one right cleanse path for everyone, because we're all made of thought patterns and physical habits, we have to try to find a way to release these comforts we've come to rely on in order to adopt another way of living. We've got to CLEANSE ourselves of what we are ready to discard, then we've got to GROW into the next, greater version of ourselves.
So, science facts tell us that 98% of our body is replaced every 2 years at a molecular level, and in 7 years all parts of you will have been replaced, essentially you will be an entirely new human being. 7 years isn't a timeline most people are motivated by, but things like your skin renew themselves so frequently you can see changes almost overnight. For example, many people share that when they start drinking our Newport Skinny Tea they can feel a difference in their bloating and see it in their face in hours or the next day.
We do become the thoughts and images we hold of ourselves, when these change they begins to express themselves through our new habits and translate into visible, tangible results we can see, such as reduced cellulite or less oily skin. We already know how to eat better, that we need to move and not lay on the couch every night, we already know that more raw food and vegetables will help us become healthier. Its just that we don't see ourselves as healthier, yet. So I want to challenge you and the image you hold of yourself with a very big question:
What would your life be like if your true beauty and charisma were shining bright in this world right now?
You may be truly scared at what you could accomplish with your true beauty and charisma unleashed in this world, you may not even want to think about it- its that scary to imagine. You may have been shamed or put down by people who didn't want you to shine or understand your journey in the world. You may fear letting go of things and people you have come to learn to live with, even though you know they are holding you back. I'm here to say, your true beauty and charisma are more powerful than even you can understand or imagine at this point, because they have never been fully allowed to shine, but if you want that experience now, you can have it. Only you can decide to reach for it though.
I can offer you hope and belief, I can offer words to inspire bravery and courage, and examples of others who have taken the steps, but only you can choose to completely honor yourself first, above anyone else. Only you can say:
This is me and I am beautiful.
I am worth the absolute best I can give myself.
No more hiding my beauty, no more will I fear my charisma.
You don't have to love me for me to love me.
It is time for me to find the best version of me and
I will not be fulfilled with anything less!
These are powerful words, words that can lead you to transform your life, which is the reason we sell tea, which is the reason we show up everyday, its what I feel to be our mission in the world- to help you find and live in your unique true beauty. You don't have to live in fear that you will never measure up, because there is no one to measure your beauty against, you only have to experience the amazing freedom and fulfillment that is waiting for you on the other side of making this brave decision to step into your beauty.
Flavorful, alkalizing and beautifying: Apple Cider VinegarRaw apple cider vinegar is the only acceptable vinegar to include on a beautifying detox, because its not acid-forming. It also helps promote good digestion and encourages growth of good bacteria in our digestive tract, which is so important for you to stay looking and feeling great!Apple cider vinegar is high in minerals and potassium, so it supports cellular detox cleansing and it has antiseptic qualities that help cleanse our entire digestive system from unwanted bacteria.Be sure to buy a brand labeled "raw and unfiltered," you want it looking a bit cloudy. It must be refrigerated because pasteurized versions don't have these qualities any longer.I've begun to get addicted to apple cider vinegar in my salad dressings, here's a recipe you can try:Oil-Free Balsamic-Free Italian VinaigretteIngredients:
Blend all together, best if in a high speed blender. Enjoy!

Here's more instructions on breaking a serious sugar addiction, remember take your time with it, it didn't happen overnight and it won't go away overnight. From an article "4 Steps to Successfully Cut Down on Sugar" in the Huffington Post:"The average American adult consumes the equivalent of about 32 teaspoons of sugar per day. Sugar is really the number one food additive: it is added to drinks, often in the form of high-fructose corn syrup, to bread, sauces, dressings, and to all kinds of processed foods including many low-fat products. "

Running is a challenging, effective workout, there's no doubt about it. Considered the gold standard for burning calories, running does have some draw backs, often beginning runners get injured and then are sidelined for an extended period of time. Plus, it can be boring and isolating if you often run alone.
Creating a new, varied Spring time exercise program with many different challenging workouts to cross train the body protects you from injury and overusing muscles, plus our bodies love to be constantly challenged in new ways to keep our metabolism and muscles surprised, which is great for your body and keeping you mentally engaged as well. Have fun with it, create a chart or use an app on your phone to pick 5 things you haven't tried before and see if you can do them each once a week for the next four weeks!
Your goal: Design a life you love, try new things that get results in less time and don't make you dread doing them. We're looking for exercises that burn around 10 calories per minute. Some you can sneak in from the list below, get up 20 minutes early or try doing them at night instead of snacking. I'm also going to challenge you to try something new that's SCARY! Like ballroom dancing, hula hoop class or surfing, anything you've always wanted to try but haven't yet! Something that the very thought of it gets you excited and thinking "wouldn't it be so cool if I knew how to...."
That's how you design a life you love!
Here's a list of other exercises that burn over 10 calories per minute:
As little as 10 minutes, 3 times per week can have a positive effect on your body composition. It doesn't have to be a full-blown gym session to count either!
Researchers at the University of Southern Maine used a more advanced method to estimate energy expenditure during exercise, they found that weight training burns up to 71 percent more calories than originally thought. Which suggests that a fast-paced circuit workout burns as many calories as running at a 6-minute per mile pace.
Make sure you're lifting weights heavy enough to produce fatigue within 8-10 reps and perform the "negative" portion of the exercise twice as slowly as the lifting portion, this will maximize your results.
Here's an explanation from Wiki

Not the laziest tip ever, but if you want to get out of the diet, gain, diet cycle forever you're going to have to change some of your body's composition to become a more efficient calorie burner. Newport Skinny Tea supports this on several levels, as do the tips we've given in this series, but here's a tip from Prevention Magazine about negative-accentuated training which was written about in The Four Hour Body as well as by many other life hackers. If you want to build fat-burning muscle in the least amount of time possible, here's a great way:
Almost everyone who's lost weight has eventually put the weight back on. Why this cruel reality? It's simple, really: During the first months of any diet, your body loses both fat and muscle. Then, when you gain back the weight, you add back only fat because it's much easier to gain fat than it is to gain muscle.
"That's the dirty little secret of most popular diet plans," says exercise researcher Ellington Darden. "They don't combine muscle-maintaining exercises with the calorie reduction. More muscle is your ticket to a better body."
It's no secret that muscle is more metabolically active than fat, so by having more lean muscle on your skeleton, you'll burn more calories even at rest. Fortunately, Darden says he discovered a super-efficient way to build muscle while losing weight: It's called "negative training," and Darden tested it on more than 100 people at Gainesville Health & Fitness in Florida a few years ago. The technique involves doing the lowering part, or "eccentric phase," of a resistance exercise very slowly. But Darden gave this old-school bodybuilding trick a tweak: He found that by using heavier weights and doing just one and a half reps very, very slowly, you can achieve remarkable results from just one or two short workouts per week.
To get a taste of what Darden calls "negative-accentuated training," grab two dumbbells, and stand upright with your arms straight and the weights resting against your thighs. Do a quick bicep curl to get the weights to your shoulders; that's the starting position. Now very slowly lower the dumbbells—that's the negative phase—taking 10 to 20 seconds to let them lower to your thighs. Then immediately curl the weight very slowly to your shoulders (again, it should take 10 to 20 seconds)—that's the positive phase of the lift. Finally, without pausing, do another negative movement, taking a final 10 to 20 seconds to lower the weights to your thighs. So the idea is that you'll do the negative movement for twice as long total as you do the positive movement. (Eventually, you'll want to increase to 30 seconds for each phase of this exercise.)
By doing one and a half reps of a lift, you can complete a workout in just 20 to 30 minutes—and feel like you've exercised for more than an hour. The moves are simply that tough, which is why you'll need several days for your muscles to recover.
The negative-accentuated style of weight training results in 40 to 50 percent greater stress being put on your muscles, compared to more conventional training methods, says Darden. This stimulates key hormones that boost muscular growth and oxidize fat-cell content at a faster rate. "It may be that the higher level of stress put on your muscles, combined with just the right amount of carbohydrates, decreases insulin responsiveness in fat cells to make them shrink," says Darden.
